The
Songs
At the heart
of the Carnivores are Tony Careys original
songs, some of which have been recorded and will
form the bands first album, Stupidly
Cool. However it is as a live band that the
Carnivores hope to have the biggest impact, and a
live set list consisting of original songs and
some classic rock covers is being developed.
For more
information on the bands music, including
sound clips, click here.
Once the
band has finalised the set list, rehearsed the
songs to the required (high) standard, and
developed the other elements required for their
live show - lighting, monitoring, FoH engineer -
then the band will start gigging.

The Players
The Rampant
Carnivores - Tony Carey (vocals,
guitar), Rob Thorpe (guitar) and Eric Keane (bass
& vocals) - were formed in the Summer of
2004. The band is currently looking for a drummer
to replace the fourth founder member who
unfortunately had to vacate the bands drum
stool after injuring his wrist in a car accident.

The
Gear
The quality
of the bands music and performance skills
is reflected in their choice of instruments and
equipment. No expense is being spared in
ensuring the effectiveness of the music is not
compromised. The bands basic setup of
Rickenbacker, Gibson Les Paul and Fender
Precision bass is as timeless as their
music. Much of the work in the ongoing
rehearsal process will be in making full use of
vocal and guitar effects to fully recreate the
complex, multi-layered textures of the
Carnivores recordings.

The
Website
The band
have also registered and set up www.therampantcarnivores.com.
(They own www.therampantcarnivores.co.uk as well
but at present this is not active.) Updates
to these pages will be periodic whilst the band
is rehearsing, but eventually this site will be
the bands main method of communication,
with song downloads, a gig guide, photo gallery,
mailing list and much, much more. Watch
this space...
